Sachin Tendulkar 100 100s!

After a really long wait of being on 99 centuries, on the 16th of March 2012, he has finally done it. I thought a blog post would be very appropriate. I'd like to think that after my last post and having said that he was one of my favourtie people in sport, he may have read it and that would have inspired him to reach this milestone. It's highly doubtful but.

I really don't think that anyone will ever do anything like this again in cricket. There was over a year wait from his 99th to his 100th and a lot of people thought that he would never get to 100. I suppose it is pretty difficult when you have over a billion people holding their breath on every single ball you face in a career that is currently 23 years not out. All the expectation and pressure has to somehow be put aside.

Watching Tendulkar play cricket in full flow is kind of like watching music. If that makes sense. Probably in my opinion, the greatest batsman ever. Imagine if he didn't get to 100 centuries? Everyone would have remembered him for not getting there and not remember the other 99 centuries that he did make.

Something that really should be noted too is not just getting to the milestone, not even having reached the milestone but just his attitude after getting it. A simple kiss on the helmet, a look up to the sky. carry on batting. Imagine if a footballer did something similar in their sport. They would run around the pitch, rip off their shirt and start beating their chest like a gorilla. Not nice. I don't think that there would be anyone in the whole cricketing world, players and fans (unless you're from Pakistan) who wouldn't be pleased about this amazing feat. When he was on 99 and took the single it was a moment that I don't think will ever happen again.

Also what should be noted is that it is not just being the only batsman ever and probably the only batsman that will ever get to 100 centuries that makes Tendulkar a great batsman. It's not because of this. He is a great batsman anyway. The greatest batsman.

Blogs of note.

They say that every picture tells a thousand words. I think that's the saying anyway.

I know that most of the things that I write on my blog posts aren't really positive. That is because I am not a positive person. Being positive just leads to disappointment. If you're negative and something good happens it's more like "Well what do you know. Something good just happened. How nice."

I have been reading the "Blogs of note" lately and have found that each one I read was positive reading. They were all feel good ones which I suppose is fair enough as who wants to not feel good? But then I carried on reading and the more I  read, another thing became quite apparent and that was that every single "Blog of note" that I read all had lots and lots of pictures!

I always thought that the whole point of a blog was that it was WORDS about whatever. I did Wikipedia the word "Blog" and it does say "A typical blog combines text, images and links to other blogs". However I find that most peoples' blogs that I have seen on "Blogs of note" rely a lot more on pictures than words. Does this mean that they are crap writers and do what anybody can do and that is to get pictures off the internet or ones that they have taken on their camera/phone and post it on their blogs and then get recognition for doing that to win "Blogs of note"?? How frigging stupid. Now I'm not saying that I'm a good writer or am entertaining/interesting with my words. But at least I WRITE instead of adding picture files. But if this is the way it is going to be then let's see if it works for me-although I am not going to be positive about it.

I was going to put one of me and Jennifer Aniston together but I can't find any. We mustn't have saved any of the ones with both of us in together.

What is life without sport? There isn't many things that are better than the spirit of competition-is there? Apart from alcohol, pizza and sex. Though I have forgotten what that is like. Oh and music.
